LEGACY OF LATE SMT DR. CHANDRAMMA SAGAR

Dr. Chandramma Sagar

Late Smt Dr. Chandramma Sagar - a doctor by profession, the first Indian woman to have acquired a triple fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) from London, Edinburgh & Glasgow. She was in the panel of doctors to the President of India. A Gold medalist from the Mysore Medical College.

Dr. Chandrama Sagar served as Dean of Vani Vilas Hospital, Bangalore, and also as honorary surgeon to three former presidents of India and three governors of the state. The group ventured into health care services in 1960 under her able leadership.
