CPS signifies the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Mumbai. CPS is a Diploma course that includes the study of post-graduate medical courses. The diploma course has a period of two years. Mainly, the course comprises the specialization of various medical branches after MBBS. The course is a combination of 90% practical and 10% of theory. The people who are not qualified in NEET PG can also get admission in CPS/FCPS Courses.

 

CPS is a PG advanced course training of advanced medical profession and training. It has consideration and authorization in specified territories of India, comprising government, semi-government, and Private medical hospitals. The main aim of offering CPS/FCPS courses is to give medical specialist doctors in rural and sub-urban regions of India.

CPS is an examining body conferring to the Royal College of Surgeons of England and it is alike to the National Board of Examination (Estd. By Act of Parliament, Govt. of India) CPS is a self-governing body administered constitutionally by selected 24 members (faculties of exclusive specialisms) with brilliant democratic customs.

Essential Process for submission of CPS/FCPS Admission Form

  • Login by means of User Id and Password.
  • Go to CPS-PG-Application Brochure.
  • Go through the brochure thoroughly.
  • Go to the CPS-PG-Application form
  • Choose the State in which you want to pursue admission. 
  • Read all guidelines prudently
  • If you agree, click on “I agree”, then click on “Continue”
  • Fill up all the compulsory academic and personal information.
  • Upload visualized obligatory credentials and look over them again before submission. Any kind of change in data/record will not be allowed after the payment of application fees.
  • Make a payment of application fees (by Net banking / Demand Draft).
  • The Application has to be submitted online on the official website of CPS http://www.cpsmumbai.org from the Tentative date. 

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in CPS and FCPS 2022

  1. The Rudimentary eligibility criteria for CPS and FCPS admission is that the candidate must have a qualified MBBS or other corresponding degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  2. The candidate must get a certificate of eligibility from CPS at the time of registering in post-graduate courses (Fellowship/ Certificate course/ Diploma) in FCPS and CPS courses.
  3. The students who have passed the MCPS Examination before 2009, do not need an eligibility certificate. 

The course of action Of Enrollment in CPS/FCPS

After the selection process, the chosen candidate will join the selected institution by accumulating all the initial documents and paying the obligatory fees by DD. The candidate shall attain the post holding certificate, and appointment order after finalizing the joining procedures at the selected institution.

At the end of the admission process, the online enrollment methods will be made accessible by CPS and as per the schedule declared by CPS for the enrollment method. Combined applicants will have to fill online enrollment form available through their login and upload the mandatory documents.

The joined candidate will provisionally take back the original documents credited with the institutes for confirmation by CPS throughout enrollment. The combined applicant will have to visit the CPS office in person for authentication of documents after filling up the online enrollment form. 

Required Documents At The Time of verification :

  • Here is a list of some documents and necessary papers which will be required at the time of verification. They are the following: –
  • A copy of the downloaded NEET-PG 2022 Admit Card.
  • Online downloaded Application form of State NEET-PG-CPS 2022.
  • A copy of the downloaded NEET-PG 2022 result/Mark sheet.
  • Any Photo ID proof (Aadhar Card/Driving License, PAN Card, Passport)
  • Nationality Certificate/valid passport or School Leaving Certificate of SSC/HSC. signifying the nationality of the candidate as “Indian”
  • M.B.B.S. Degree/Passing Certificate
  • Provisional/permanent registration certificate of Maharashtra Medical Council or other State Medical Councils in India/ NMC).
  • Internship Completion Certificate from university / Head of the Institution, or Certificate indicating likely date of accomplishment of Internship from the head of the institution.
  • Certificate from Head of Institute showing that the Medical College/Institute from which the candidate has passed the MBBS examination is documented by NMC/erstwhile Medical Council of India.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (as per Annexure – L)
  • A copy of the Receipt of the online fee payment.

For SC/ST/OBC And Other Category Candidates:

  • Caste Certificate
  • Caste Validity Certificate.
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate {for (NT-B, (VJ) DT -A, OBC&SBC Candidates, NT-C, NT-D, } dispensed by the suitable authority as specified in the government determinations from time to time should be legal.
  • EWS candidates should produce eligibility certificates in the prescribed format allotted by an appropriate authority, for the years 2022-23.
  • AIIMS / All India Quota / Central Government Institute’s selection letter/letter from Dean/Principal asserting that the candidate was self-confessed for MBBS under 15% quota/Central Government/ AIIMS Institution from All India Entrance Examination.

After verification of the original documents at the CPS office, the candidate shall deposit all the documents back to the institution. The original credentials shall be given back to the candidate, after effective completion of the registered course.

Constitutional Reservation Policy in CPS/FCPS Admission

For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Caste Coverts to Buddhism category, the reservation provided from the state quota is 13%. For Scheduled Tribes, the reservation provided is 7%. For Vimukta jati, the reservation provided is 3%. For Nomadic tribes NT-B, the reservation provided from the state quota is 2.5%. For Nomadic tribes NT-C, the reservation provided from the state quota is 3.5%. For Nomadic tribes NT-D, the reservation provided by state quota is 2% and for other backward classes along with SBC, the reservation provided by state quota is 19%. For economically weaker sections, the reservation provided from the state quota is 10%.

 CPS/FCPS 2022-23 Application form 

  • MAH DHS CPS Admission 2022 NEET PG Application form will be released in the month of July.
  • Applicants are required to visit the approved website of the university and download the prospectus and application form from the website.
  • The prompt the instructions mentioned in the brochure are checked candidates need to begin filling up the application form.
  • During filing the application form, applicants need to enter some essential information in the application form for example educational details, personal detail, course-related details, contact and parent’s details, and more details.
  • Entrants also need to offer scanned images of signatures and photographs in the given size and format declared on the official website of the university.
  • Applicants are asked to get a print of the application form when it is filled.
