MCC oversees the admission counselling process for Medical, Dental Colleges, and Nursing Colleges across various institutions, including AIQ, Central Institutes, Universities, AIMS, JIPMER, Deemed Universities, AMU, BHU, and more. The counselling process will encompass four distinct rounds, namely Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and an additional round referred to as the Stray Vacancy Round, which will serve as the final stage for counselling and admissions. Round 1:
- Registration for Main Counselling: To initiate the counselling process, visit www.mcc.nic.in and complete Round-1 registration by paying a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit.
- Choice Selection and Locking: Select preferred institutes and courses during the specified period, and secure your choices by locking them in.
- Seat Allotment in Round 1: Seats will be assigned in Round 1 based on your choices and merit.
- Publication of Round-1 Results: The results of Round-1 will be posted on the MCC website.
- Submission of Essential Certificates: Following the announcement of Round-1 results, upload the required certificates according to the guidelines.
- Physical Reporting: If you receive a seat allocation, physically report to the assigned Medical/Dental College with your original documents. Those wishing to upgrade to Round 2 must report with their original documents.
Round 2:
- Candidates Not Allotted in Round 1: There is no need to re-register if you were not assigned a seat in Round 1. You will automatically be considered for Round 2.
- New Registration for Round 2: Fresh candidates or those who did not register in Round 1 must register for Round 2 by submitting the necessary fees.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Select and lock new choices during the specified period.
- Seat Allotment in Round 2: Seats will be allocated based on your selections and merit.
- Publication of Round-2 Results: Round-2 results will be published on the MCC website.
- Submission of Essential Certificates: Following the release of Round-2 results, upload the required certificates per the guidelines.

Round 3:

- New Registration for Round 3: Fresh candidates or those who did not register in Round 1 or 2 must register for Round 3 by paying the requisite fees.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Make new selections and lock them in during the specified period.
- Seat Allotment in Round 3: Seats will be allocated based on your choices and merit.
- Publication of Round-3 Results: Round-3 results will be posted on the MCC website.

Final Stray Vacancy Round:
- Fresh Registrations: Candidates must register for the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
- Elimination: Candidates with prior seat allocations in other rounds will be excluded from the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Stray Vacancy Round: The AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for available seats will be conducted online by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.
- Seat Allotment: Seats will be assigned based on merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Acceptance of Allotted Seat: If assigned a seat in the Stray Round, you must accept the allocated seat/college. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the NEET examination for one year and forfeiture of fees.
(Note: Candidates can directly participate in Round 2 or 3 without fresh registration if they were not allowed a seat in the previous round. Upgraded candidates cannot claim their previous round seat.)
