Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is a private medical college and hospital established in 1980. It is run under the Vokkaligara Sangha and is regarded as one of the premier institutes to pursue medical education. Dr. V.T Venkatesha is the Dean and Principal of the college.

Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital was established in 1990. It is a multi-specialty hospital with 810 beds and various diagnostic and medical services. The hospital also has a 24-hour Pharmacy, Blood Bank, and CT and MRI facilities.
